VIB

The VIB (Vibration Interface Bench) is a specialized support structure designed to accommodate a fully loaded antenna during a comprehensive vibration testing campaign. This includes various test types such as quasi-static, sine vibration, and random vibration, ensuring that the antenna can withstand the mechanical stresses it may encounter in operation.

The bench is built with a frequency response where the first resonant frequency exceeds 150 Hz, ensuring stability and accurate test results. It features flight hardware interfaces, allowing seamless integration with both the antenna and the vibration test facility.

For operational ease, the VIB is equipped with hoisting points that facilitate lifting, as well as wheels for handling and transportation. Furthermore, to guarantee precise alignment during testing, the flatness tolerance between the VIB and the Head Expander/Slip Table is controlled to 0.1 mm over a 1-meter span, ensuring minimal distortion during vibration tests.
